AFRE Offering 15 Credit Hour Biomimicry Workshop to Teachers at Special Price
The Arizona Foundation for Resource Education (AFRE), a nonprofit organization dedicated to teacher
professional development, is offering a special opportunity to Arizona teachers of grades 5-12. For only $25, teachers can attend the Saturday,
Nov. 7 and Nov. 14 “Nature’s Design Studio” workshop in
Tempe and earn 15 professional development credit hours.
Participants will learn how to apply inquiry while examining how humans use design principles nature has
perfected, and leave with a lesson plan to take back to the classroom. Materials and meals are included.
Other upcoming AFRE workshops include Understanding by Design (UbD) on Nov. 5-6 in central Phoenix, and
Creating and Sustaining a Professional Learning Community (PLC) on Dec. 7-8 in Tempe.
For information or to register, call 602-266-4417 or visit www.afre.org.
